we’ve been to stilts calatagan before but this was the first time that we stayed there overnight and it was sort of a last-minute thing. kim have been trying to book a room for a weekend since last month but the resort was always fully-booked. on heart’s day, however, there was a tentative booking so we were wait-listed just in case the room becomes available. kim was able to confirm the availability of the room that afternoon.

when we got to the resort, we were kilig to find out that we were assigned to room destiny 1. it was like the universe telling us that we are not only destined for each other but that our trip was destined to push through from the start, hihi.

since our last daytrip to the resort, we noticed a few changes. for starters, everything seems to have an inspirational name now. aside from the cottages–destiny, play, pleasure, dream to name a few, the beach was also divided into two beaches–the main part called harmony beach and the far end portion, destiny beach. the resort now offers water sports activities, including banana boat ride and kayaking. there are also jogging trails but you may rent an atv, bicycle, or a horse to explore the resort. in-room facial, spa and massage services are also available.

aside from flowers, the resort is also lined with trees. love this kind because it reminds me of autumn ^_^

but even without these additional services, we have always enjoyed the time we spend at stilts calatagan. sleeping under a tree, walking on sand bars during low tides, swimming in the sea or the pool, watching the sunset, waiting for the moonrise, and stargazing are our favorites. and it helped that the service has also improved a lot. the staff members made our recent stay there even more comfortable and relaxing.

stilts calatagan used to be our go-to destination for a daytrip and after our after our last visit, we think it will become one of our go-to places for a weekend getaway as well. even before this trip, we have already recommended the resort to our friends who have sought our help in their batangas trips. and all of them have given us positive feedback about their experience there so far.
